You think we are going to pay 5 mill for an unproven goalscorer in the Championship? I'd rather pay Kevin Phillips wages for two years.

 Re: aaron mclean
Darragh MacAnthony has told Aaron, that he is to good to play for Wolves Even comparing him to ronaldo . To me it seems to me, that Peterbough's greed may ruin this lads prospects of a decent future. If he is as good as they are making out why arn't all these so called prem teams knocking the Posh's door down for him. IMO It also seems, that now we have said ''sod off, we're not paying that!!'' peterbourgh are using our interest as a spring board to promote the lad to all these prem clubs that are SOOO!! desperate to sign him http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagenews.asp?newsid=186959

 Re: aaron mclean
Actually quite funny, he plays in league 2, he will not score half as many goals as last season if he moves to any championship club.

 Re: aaron mclean
their deluded but tbh the longer it drags on the better they'll soon realise the lad wants to come to wolves and the aint gonna get more for him than we're givin so tbh if mick really wants him we'll get him. id personally like to think we've got other targets lined up cos i think buyin 2 unproven young strikers is just gonna mean more of the same. e,g, eastwood, keogh, ward. get someone whos done it imo who vokes, keogh, e blake etc might learn from rather than be expected to teach.

 Re: aaron mclean
I have seen him and he looks good but concerned as he's 25 and pretty much an unheard. We look like we're sitting tight now so we'll see what happens. Kights was with him at Grays so hope he is being objective.

 Re: aaron mclean
He's rejected a new deal and put in a transfer request which has been granted. They still want the same fee though £3m up front with £2m in add ons. Look elsewhere.

 Re: aaron mclean
No one is going to pay 3 million for him, and add ons worth another 2 million, McLean should tell them he will not play for them if they don't sell him.

Yeah, but then that always puts me off. So if he came here and did superb and then did the same with us when Spurs, or someone, came in for him. I like to sign players who left their old club on good terms, shows their charachter. At the end of the day he was happy to sign the contract when they put it in front of him.

 Re: aaron mclean
the longer we drag this out the more potential deals we're losin out on so if their gonna try n hang onto him we may as well look elsewhere until a development is made or we find a suitable player.

 Re: aaron mclean
At least we would make money on him if a success, which is doubted lol. In the Sun today it has a quote from his agent that Peterborough broke a promise that McLean could leave if a big team came in for him.
